Soccer Game Preview: Bell vs. Sidwell Friends

The Bell Griffins are taking a road trip to challenge the Sidwell Friends Quakers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bell comes in on three and Sidwell Friends on four.

Bell's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over MacArthur. That's two games straight that Bell have won by exactly two goals.

Emmanuel Villalous and Kenneth Hernandez scored both of Bell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Sidwell Friends faced Maret in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Quakers had just enough and edged out the Frogs 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for Sidwell Friends as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Bell's win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Sidwell Friends, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Bell took their win against Sidwell Friends in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Griffins repeat their success, or do the Quakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
