Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Iowa City Little Hawks on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Little Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on Friday.

Jefferson has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Iowa City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-9.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will take on Linn-Mar at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Iowa City, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 loss against Prairie on the 13th.
