Basketball Recap: Cardinal Comes Up Short

Cardinal extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 5-12. They were dealt a 77-26 loss at the hands of the Harding Skippers. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-16.

As for Harding, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Harding's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kam Leftwich, who shot 69% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Yomar Castellano, who went 9-for-17 on his way to 21 points and four steals.

Cardinal has already played their next game (against Bristol), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Harding, they will square off against Glenville at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday. The Tarblooders have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
