Gilmour Academy won the last time they faced Magnificat and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lancers were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Blue Streaks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

Layla Fortunato was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Fortunato was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Gundling was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
