Basketball Recap: West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Comes Up Short

West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Havana Ducks, falling 73-41. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ducks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Sofie Grubb and Ali Little certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Grubb went 7 for 12 on her way to 20 points and eight rebounds, while Little posted ten points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave Grubb a new career-high.

West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Havana, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-47 victory against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia on the 9th. As for Havana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-33 win against Elmwood on the 9th.
