Baseball Recap: Wayne City Comes Up Short

Wayne City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-8 to the Galatia Bearcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Wayne City's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Galatia, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Wayne City will look to defend their home field on Friday against Edwards County at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Wayne City has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Galatia, they are taking a road trip to take on Cobden at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
