Softball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

If Chaparral was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Katella last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pumas lost 20-1 to the Murrieta Mesa Rams on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 two weeks ago.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Murrieta Mesa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6-1.

While Chaparral had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
