Basketball Recap: Ulysses Takes a Loss

Ulysses was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 73-54 fall against the Hugoton Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-43 back in January.

Ulysses' record now sits at 5-11. As for Hugoton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Ulysses and Hugoton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Ulysses (ranked 138th) will meet Goodland (ranked 11th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hugoton will face off against Holcomb at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 80 places (106 vs. 26).
