Softball Game Preview: Oak Ridge Wildcats vs. Powell Panthers

Oak Ridge is 0-10 against Powell since May of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Oak Ridge is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Saturday. They lost 9-3 to Ooltewah.

Leah Curran was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Kaylee Hickman was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Powell's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Halls on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Powell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
