Douglas is 10-0 against Rio Rico since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Douglas Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Rio Rico Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Douglas will be strutting in after a victory while Rio Rico will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Douglas needed a bit of extra time to put away Amphitheater. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Panthers 4-3. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Rio Rico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Sahuarita.

Rio Rico's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Douglas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-2.

Douglas skirted past Rio Rico 1-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Does Douglas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rio Rico turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
