Baseball Recap: Sunset Park Gets the Win

Sunset Park came out on top against Telecommunication Arts Tech on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The HEAT walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on Saturday.

Oscar Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Sunset Park is undefeated when Garcia posts two or more runs, but 1-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, Moises Norori was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Steven Espinoza also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Sunset Park and bumps their season record up to 4-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Telecommunication Arts Tech, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

As of now, neither Sunset Park nor the Yellowjackets have any future games scheduled.
