Mars Hill Bible has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Madison Academy Mustangs, falling 14-4. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Keeli Mullins was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Molly Wright was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Mars Hill Bible's defeat dropped their record down to 28-8. As for Madison Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

Looking ahead, Mars Hill Bible will be playing at home against Lauderdale County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Brewer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
