Clarion Area won the last time they faced Keystone, and Derek Smail did his part to make sure it happened again. The Clarion Area Bobcats secured a 53-48 W over the Keystone Panthers on Wednesday for which the team can thank Smail, who posted 18 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Clarion Area has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. Keystone's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Clarion Area has already played their next contest, a 47-35 loss against Redbank Valley on the 1st. As for Keystone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 77-75 defeat against Clarion-Limestone on the 28th.
