Basketball Game Preview: Quitman Bulldogs vs. Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks

Having just played yesterday, the Quitman Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Quitman is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Thursday, Quitman humbled Central Arkansas Christian with a 74-29 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon-Enola posted their biggest win since November 19th on Tuesday. They blew past St. Joseph 59-38. Winning may never get old, but the Warhawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Quitman pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Quitman might still be hurting after the 75-55 loss they got from Mt. Vernon-Enola in their previous meeting back in February. Can Quitman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
