There's no place like home for Foothills Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Santa Fe Christian Eagles 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since March 28th.

Emma Romeka made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Romeka was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Romeka wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Wolford, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Kylie Mathistad also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Foothills Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Santa Fe Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Coming up, Foothills Christian will head out on the road to square off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Warhawks at the right time seeing as the Warhawks are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against San Diego at 4:00 p.m.
