Football Game Preview: Bloomfield vs. Los Alamos

Los Alamos will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Bloomfield at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.

After having lost a blowout to Taos in their previous match, Los Alamos were happy to find some success last week. Los Alamos were fully in charge, breezing past Pojoaque Valley 51-0.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield took the matchup and then some with a 47-7 win over St. Michael's. With Bloomfield ahead 21-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Their wins bumped Los Alamos to 2-1 and Bloomfield to 3-0. In their victory, Bloomfield relied heavily on senior Rogelio Gonzales, who passed for 437 yards and 4 touchdowns; a key strategy for Los Alamos will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
