The Owls haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Memphis Home Education Association was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Munford. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Memphis Home Education Association came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Munford is ranked 126th).

Memphis University School's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Memphis Home Education Association, their loss dropped their record down to 22-7.

Memphis University School was able to grind out a solid victory over Memphis Home Education Association in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 52-44.
