Recap: Spring Lions vs. Aldine Mustangs
The Spring Lions posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They breezed by Aldine on the road to the tune of 72-29. Given Spring's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Aldine is ranked 1164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Spring's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cedric Richardson, who scored nine points along with six assists and five rebounds. Paul White was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Spring now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Aldine, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-25.
Spring will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. As for Aldine, they will head out on the road to challenge MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Aldine a ten-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
