Recap: Green City Gophers vs. Linn County Mustangs
The Green City Gophers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Linn County on the road to the tune of 99-23. Green City has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xander Salas, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, nine assists, and nine steals. Salas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Kaden Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Green City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Linn County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green City's road trip will continue as they head out to face La Plata at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for Linn County, they will challenge Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
