Softball Recap: Citronelle's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Citronelle had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 21-6 margin over the Vigor Wolves on Monday. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Citronelle's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Vigor, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Citronelle will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Fruitdale at 6:00 p.m. Fruitdale has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.79 runs per game on average), something Citronelle will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Vigor, they will square off against St. Paul's Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
