Football Recap: Tidehaven's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tidehaven extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. Everything went their way against the Ganado Indians as they made off with a 38-12 win. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ganado fell to 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Ganado lost, don't look at Logan Bures. Despite the final result, he rushed for 65 yards and one TD on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 52 yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tidehaven will head out to take on Brazos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 6.5, the Cougars 14) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Ganado, they will challenge Flatonia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them.
