Preview: Flanagan Falcons vs. West Broward Bobcats
The Flanagan Falcons will look to defend their home field on Friday against the West Broward Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Two weeks ago, Flanagan came up short against Everglades and fell 33-23.
Despite the defeat, Flanagan had strong showings from Amir Collings, who rushed for 19 yards and a touchdown, and Franklyn Johnson jr, who picked up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, West Broward unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Gulf Coast by a score of 21-19. West Broward gained 192 more yards on the day, but it was Gulf Coast that made the best of use of them.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jonathan Morillo, who threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Lawson, who picked up 144 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Flanagan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for West Broward, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Flanagan took a serious blow against West Broward in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 33-0. Thankfully for Flanagan, Brandon Armenteros (who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
