Recap: Edgewater Eagles vs. Winter Haven Blue Devils        
        
		
            
 On Monday, the Edgewater Eagles faced the Winter Haven Blue Devils in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Edgewater's  rough  93-69 loss to Winter Haven  might stick with them for a while. Edgewater has struggled against Winter Haven recently, as their  game on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the  loss, Edgewater saw an underclassman step up:  Donovan Williams Jr.  scored 25 points along with six  assists and six  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Ethan Simon, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and ten  rebounds.
  Isaac Celiscar was  his usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 39 points and 12  rebounds for Winter Haven. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Celiscar has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jamie Phillips jr, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 11  assists.
 Edgewater has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season. As for Winter Haven, the  victory was  the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewater will take on Olympia at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Florida (Olympia is ranked 14th, while Edgewater is ranked 16th). As for Winter Haven, they will be playing at home against Mainland at 3:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
