Volleyball Game Preview: Deerfield Warriors vs. Glenbrook North Spartans

Deerfield hasn't had much luck against Glenbrook North recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Tuesday, Deerfield came up short against Evanston and fell 2-0.

Deerfield was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook North didn't have quite enough to beat Glenbrook South on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Glenbrook North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Deerfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Glenbrook North, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Deerfield couldn't quite get it done against Glenbrook North in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
