Basketball Game Preview: Montgomery Academy Eagles vs. Lee-Scott Academy Warriors

The Montgomery Academy Eagles will head out to take on the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Montgomery Academy heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 59-29 loss at the hands of Saint James. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Lee-Scott Academy entered their tilt with Glenwood on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 50-49 win over the Gators.

Lee-Scott Academy found their leader in freshman Clarke Ivatt, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 20 points and six rebounds. Ivatt is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Haynes Keesee was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 12 points and four steals.

Lee-Scott Academy pushed their record up to 16-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Montgomery Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-18.
