Volleyball Recap: St. Paul Catholic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Paul Catholic managed to slip by Waterbury Career Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Spartans on Friday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While St. Paul Catholic ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.

Taylor Snow paced St. Paul Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Snow got some help from Isabella McCulloch and her 21 assists. Vanessa Longo and Abigail Lines kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

St. Paul Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Waterbury Career Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, St. Paul Catholic and Waterbury Career Academy will both be playing Torrington the next time they take the court. The Falcons will host the Raiders at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Spartans will host them at 5:15 p.m. on the 19th.
