Niangua has no trouble against Wheatland

The Niangua Cardinals waltzed into Thursday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 69-50 win over Wheatland. Given Niangua's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Wheatland is ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Niangua's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Scheetz, who scored 27 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Scheetz has scored at least 25% of Niangua's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Henderson, who scored 23 points along with 4 steals.

Niangua's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Wheatland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Niangua is on the road again on Saturday and play against Dadeville at 5:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Dadeville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three games. As for Wheatland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Halfway on Saturday. Halfway and Wheatland are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
