Softball Game Preview: Appleton West Terrors vs. Neenah Rockets

Appleton West is 1-8-1 against Neenah since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Terrors will look to defend their home field against the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Appleton West has given up an average of 15.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Appleton West lost 12-2 to Fond du Lac on Friday.

Appleton West saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Rosenbaum, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Rosenbaum has brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Neenah made easy work of Middleton on Saturday and carried off a 10-1 victory. Considering the Rockets have won three games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Appleton West's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Neenah, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Appleton West might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Neenah in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Terrors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
