Volleyball Recap: Warrensburg Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Warrensburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lake George Lakers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While Warrensburg ultimately came up short, they really made Lake George work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Warrensburg still got an impressive performance from Riley Huck, who had 38 digs. Huck is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season. Kaylie Powers was another key player, getting seven digs.

Warrensburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Lake George, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Warrensburg has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Fort Edward on the 24th. As for Lake George, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Shaker on the 23rd.
