After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Baraga, Ontonagon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 41-35 victory over the Dollar Bay Bays. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gladiators also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Kiera Isaacson and Laila Bell certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Isaacson almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 18 rebounds, while Bell posted 12 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Bell a new career-high in points.

Ontonagon's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Dollar Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ontonagon will venture away from home to take on Dollar Bay at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dollar Bay, they will challenge Wakefield at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dollar Bay is facing Wakefield at the right time seeing as Wakefield is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
