Basketball Game Preview: Willard Crimson Flashes vs. Huron Tigers

Willard and Huron are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Willard Crimson Flashes will be playing at home against the Huron Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Willard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.

Willard is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Edison, posting a 71-39 win. The Crimson Flashes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Huron came up short against Margaretta on Saturday and fell 31-23. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Polar Bears are ranked 48th).

Willard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Huron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Willard strolled past Huron when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 56-41. Does Willard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Huron turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
