St. Anne-Pacelli came tearing into Saturday's matchup with seven straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the South Effingham Mustangs.

St. Anne-Pacelli was led to victory by Anna Do and Allie Vickery. Do had 20 assists and two aces, while Vickery had 11 digs and three assists. Those 11 digs gave Vickery a new career-high.

St. Anne-Pacelli's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for South Effingham, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
