Basketball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 61-42 fall against the Brooke Point Black Hawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-36 back in January.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Brooke Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will head out to face off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mountain View is facing Freedom at the right time seeing as Freedom is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Brooke Point, they will venture away from home to square off against Colonial Forge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brooke Point knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Colonial Forge likes a good challenge.
