Basketball Recap: St. Dominic Academy Takes a Loss

St. Dominic Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Kearny Kardinals on the road by a 53-39 margin. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Kardinals are ranked 89th).

St. Dominic Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Kearny, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

While St. Dominic Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
