Football Game Preview: Prairie Mustangs vs. Fleming Wildcats + How To Watch

Prairie hasn't had much luck against Fleming recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

If Prairie beats Fleming with 51 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Mustangs blew past North Park, posting a 51-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Prairie didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Derek Dollarschell picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fleming). They breezed past Weldon Valley to the tune of 60-16 on Saturday. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 33.5 points per game.

The victory got Fleming back to even at 2-2. As for Prairie, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Prairie and Fleming were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but Prairie came up empty-handed after a 45-44 loss. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Grant Kuntz (who rushed for 229 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also caught one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
