If Madison was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Mountain Heritage last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots fell just short of the Owen Warhorses by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Madison's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Marissa Massey and Millie Flores scored both of Madison's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Owen, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Looking ahead, Madison will be playing in front of their home fans against NCSSM: Morganton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. NCSSM: Morganton will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Madison surely won't give up without a fight. Owen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
