Baseball Game Preview: Woodland Regional Hawks vs. Torrington Raiders

For the second straight game, Woodland Regional will face off against Torrington. The Hawks will head out to square off against the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Woodland Regional's offense. They came up short against Torrington on Monday, falling 8-0. Hawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Raiders since on Monday.

Woodland Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Landrigan, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Torrington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Woodland Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
