Volleyball Recap: Twelve Bridges Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Twelve Bridges was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Nevada Union Miners. The Raging Rhinos were not able to make up for their loss to the Miners from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Twelve Bridges was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Ella Haug and Emma Palafox, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Rose Patterson and her nine assists. Abby Chan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Val Ramirez was a one-woman wrecking crew For Nevada Union. as she had 18 digs and four aces. Ramirez has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played. Malis Milone-Hang also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Twelve Bridges' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Nevada Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Twelve Bridges will welcome Placer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nevada Union, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Del Oro on the 20th.
