Soccer Game Preview: Seymour vs. Scott

The Seymour Eagles will face off against the Scott Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Seymour managed to keep up with Northview Academy until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 5-1 to the Cougars. Seymour have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Scott was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Union County, falling 3-0.

Seymour now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Scott, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-4-2.

Seymour got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Scott by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
