Recap: Omaha R Roadrunners vs. North Metro Blazers
The Omaha R Roadrunners were the 61-49 winner over the North Metro Blazers when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Omaha R might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting North Metro an easy 73-51 win. Omaha R has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Omaha R had strong showings from Stephen Vankat, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, and Jack Vankat, who scored 17 points. Vankat scored a full 35.3% of Omaha R's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Michael Wiedemeier was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Even though they lost, Omaha R were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Omaha R now has a losing record at 2-3. As for North Metro, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Omaha R has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome South Metro HomeSchool at 4:35 p.m. on December 16th. North Metro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
