Zeeland East extended the longest winning streak in Ottawa-Kent - Black this week by beating Kenowa Hills, 35-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Mona Shores moved up to 30 from 79 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Sailors were able to make the jump by beating Union 41-6.
Mona Shores' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sailors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyree Jackson has thrown for 901 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Asantay Brown has 21 catches for 470 yards. Darnell Longmire leads the league in rushing with 510 yards.
A big matchup in Ottawa-Kent - Black this week will be when Muskegon takes on Mona Shores. The Big Reds are currently in second, while the Sailors are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Muskegon takes on Mona Shores. Shane Fairfield's team has allowed 99 points this season, while the Sailors have given up 62. The Big Reds allowed 18 points last week as they defeated Reeths-Puffer.
