Softball Recap: Lodi Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wood-Ridge, Lodi was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Secaucus Patriots 14-13. This was payback for the Blue Wolves, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Isabella Carter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Melody Zuniga, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Lodi's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Secaucus, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Lodi will welcome Lyndhurst at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Secaucus, they will venture away from home to take on New Milford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
