Baseball Recap: Edward Little Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hampden, Edward Little was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brewer Witches a 3-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Red Eddies in their matchups with the Witches: they've now won three in a row.

Edward Little pushed their record up to 5-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Brewer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Edward Little will square off against Oxford Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Red Eddies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Brewer, they will be playing at home against Mt. Ararat at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Witches 3.3, the Eagles 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
