Volleyball Game Preview: Northwest Christian Crusaders vs. Seton Catholic Sentinels

Northwest Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Seton Catholic since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Crusaders will face off against the Sentinels at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Northwest Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Parker. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Northwest Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 25-11.

Northwest Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooks Martin out in front who had nine digs and five aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Trace Martin, who had 14 assists and three digs.

They weren't the only good server: Northwest Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Seton Catholic entered their tilt with Gilbert Christian on Tuesday with 12 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 13. They blew past the Knights 3-0.

Seton Catholic's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-7. As for Northwest Christian, their win bumped their record up to 23-8.

Everything went Northwest Christian's way against Seton Catholic in their previous meeting back in April, as Northwest Christian made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Sentinels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
