Baseball Recap: Hermitage Comes Up Short

Hermitage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Weaubleau Tigers, falling 10-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 9-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hermitage now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Weaubleau, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Coming up, Hermitage will challenge Fair Play at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fair Play has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.63 runs per game on average), something Hermitage will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Weaubleau, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 defeat against Dadeville on the 6th.
