Dearborn proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Cass Tech Technicians 9-8. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Technicians, too.

The team relied heavily on Rami Bazzi, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Christian Lamb, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Dearborn's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cass Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Dearborn will be playing at home against Fordson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cass Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-1 victory against Cody on the 17th.
