Scranton extends road winning streak to six

Recap: Scranton Knights vs. Mid Valley Spartans

The Scranton Knights put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 54-42 victory over Mid Valley. The score was all tied up 24-24 at the break, but Scranton was the better team in the second half.

Despite the loss, Mid Valley had strong showings from Jakob Lesher, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals, and Richard Vinansky, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Vinansky also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kaleik Cook, who scored six points along with six rebounds.

Scranton pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Mid Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scranton is on the road again on Monday and play against Old Forge at 7:15 p.m. on December 18th. As for Mid Valley, they will face off against West Scranton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
