Starr's Mill had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 45-36 win over the Griffin Bears. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 40-34 win back in January.

Starr's Mill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addi Grace Morrison out in front who posted 12 points and five boards. Morrison continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sophia Olson was another key player, putting up two points in addition to ten rebounds, eight assists, and six steals.

Starr's Mill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.

Starr's Mill's record is now 22-5. As for Griffin, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Starr's Mill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-50 loss against Harris County on the 14th. As for Griffin, they will square off against Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekside will roll in looking for their 27th straight win, something Griffin surely won't give up without a fight.
