Basketball Recap: Fairview Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Fairview waltzed into their match on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They managed a 58-54 victory over the Cashion Wildcats. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Fairview is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Cashion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-6.

Fairview will head out to face off against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Thomas-Fay-Custer likes a good challenge. As for Cashion, they will welcome Hennessey at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hennessey will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cashion surely won't give up without a fight.
