Basketball Recap: Ballard Memorial Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Ballard Memorial won the last time they faced Carlisle County and things went their way on Friday too. The Ballard Memorial Bombers came out on top against the Carlisle County Comets by a score of 61-49.

Carlisle County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Rickard, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. Rickard's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylen King, who went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points.

Ballard Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points over those games. As for Carlisle County, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Ballard Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 77-75 win against Massac County on the 8th. As for Carlisle County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-62 loss against Paducah Tilghman on the 8th.
